Home Support caregivers cannot administer medications (requires certified Health Aide level), but we can monitor whether pills are being taken appropriately and report on the medication inventory in the home.
A regular Home Support caregiver who is familiar with both the Loved One and the home can help keep it a tidy, healthy and safe environment. Support services can include things like vacuuming, laundry, ironing, tidying kitchen and changing bed sheets.
Getting Loved Ones to scheduled daytime appointments can be a real challenge for families, so our Home Support services can also include providing transportation to their doctor, help them pickup groceries, or even just to travel and meetup with friends.
One of our biggest goals in elderly care is to ensure there is regularly scheduled one-to-one stimulation and engagement for a Loved One. The friendly, familiar face of a Support caregiver is the highlight of many Loved One's day.
Having the security of a Home Support caregiver scheduled to visit provides the health benefits of 'fresh air' walks as well as supervision to help prevent accidents.
As part of our Home Support services, our caregivers will also check on the pets, the mail and general condition of the home, alerting family of any issues that need be addressed.
